Alice and Nathan met in 2012 at the cable car turnaround on a windswept afternoon in San Francisco to embark on a relationship that was supposed to be temporary. Nathan was imminently moving to New York, Alice headed for a career in law.

Twelve years later, Alice and Nathan picked out an engagement ring together on a sunny mountainside balcony in Sintra, Portugal, and Nathan officially proposed at their East Pasadena home alongside their intrepid chiweenie Nebula.

While many things in life are fleeting, Alice and Nathan’s connection has proven durable, no matter how many long distance moves and drastic career changes have occurred in the meantime.

Is it their shared love of art and creativity, classical music, strolling the Huntington Library, and trips to the park with Nebula? Crafting Halloween haunted houses in Animal Crossing, spontaneous Panda Express orders, and concerts at the Hollywood Bowl?

Whatever the source, Alice and Nathan are looking forward to celebrating the permanence of this incredible bond with their loved ones in April 2026!
